The crash's cause and the abrupt end of a promising life are still being investigated. A 19-year-old college student named Siena Marie Brachelli perished when her SUV lost control and rolled over close to the Academy Road exit in Philadelphia.
Brachelli's car hit a guardrail close to Academy Road, overturned, and came to rest off the road, according to Pennsylvania State Police. At the scene, she was declared dead.
Brachelli graduated from Lawrence Township's Notre Dame High School in 2024. Her passing has shocked everyone who knew her, including her school community.
At 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 2, the Saint Raphael School came together as a school and parish family. After the 11:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, the Brachelli family prayed a Rosary and prayed for Siena's soul to rest in peace and strength.
Pennsylvania State Police are still investigating the crash. More information will be published when confirmed.
