RJ Jett Missing, Georgia Autistic Boy Found Dead in a pond June 29

The body of 6-year-old Ramon "R.J." Jett, an autistic and nonverbal child who was last seen in a Riverdale neighbourhood where his family was living, was found lifeless around 9:20 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026, according to the Clayton County Police Department.

After almost a full day, the body of the missing Georgia Boy was found in a pond close to the Sutter Lake Apartments in Riverdale, Georgia, where he had last been seen. Volunteers, local enforcement, and his family searched frantically for him.

A huge search was launched when Jett vanished.

On Sunday, June 28, 2026, at around 11 a.m., he vanished from the Sutter Lake Apartments in the 8000 block of Webb Road while his family was sleeping.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources, K-9 teams, drones, Clayton County police officers, and community volunteers all participated in an urgent search that was sparked by his search.

Crews concentrated on the area around the apartment complex during the course of the night. Due to a shortage of sunshine, dive crews had to halt their search on Sunday night before continuing on Monday morning. However, the outcome was not what they had anticipated, as RJ's body was recovered from the pond late on Monday morning.

Ponds, lakes, pools, and other adjacent bodies of water are among the first places emergency personnel go when a child goes missing because many children on the autism spectrum are naturally drawn to water.

Families are encouraged by organisations like the National Autism Association to create plans for preventing wandering and to make use of the safety resources that are available to lower these risks.

RJ's death serves as another devastating reminder of the particular risks that many children with autism confront and the significance of prompt community response when a child disappears, even as investigators continue to try to figure out exactly what happened.

Even though RJ's earthly journey ended tragically in a pond close to his last known location, his family finds solace in treasured memories and his soul now soars freely. His family is surrounded by affection and has been informed.

Authorities have asked the public to respect the family's privacy during this trying time and have not disclosed any new information. Detectives are still working to ascertain the precise circumstances behind RJ's death.

Makala Pendley, Indianapolis Mother who went missing in late February found dead

Months after going missing with seven children, an American mother was discovered dead in Southern Mexico. After a frantic search, her missing children have subsequently been found.

The 30-year-old mother from Indiana, Makala Pendley, was reportedly discovered dead on Monday, June 8 in a ditch close to a community in the Mexican state of Chiapas. Her longtime lover was detained by Mexican officials in relation to her murder.

When Pendley vanished, she was expecting a child.

Pendley, who was about six months pregnant, died from catastrophic brain injuries brought on by blunt-force trauma, according to Mexican prosecutors. She may have been sexually assaulted before to her death, according to evidence presented by the authorities.

Concerns about the risks encountered by American citizens traveling in or near Mexico have been rekindled by the case, which has garnered national attention.

Jorge Luis Llaven Abarca, the attorney general of Chiapas, stated that Pendley's body had probably been there for eight to twelve hours prior to its discovery.

The case has been characterized by prosecutors as a femicide, a term used in Mexico when a woman's life is taken due to her gender or in situations including gender-based violence.

In late February, Makala and her kids vanished. The children were reported missing on February 23 and were thought to be traveling with their mother, according to records from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

According to family members, Pendley fled Indiana with Butler and the kids because she was afraid of losing custody of them.

Pendley's family is grieved by her passing; they have publicly called her death "extremely violent" and are now concentrating on returning her remains to Indiana while making sure her children are safe and taken care of in the future.

The investigation is being assisted by authorities on both sides of the border. They want the harshest punishment permitted by Mexican law.

The inquiry is still under progress.
