Ron Dailey, Hunter Missing in Sierra National Forest Is Found Safe

Authorities said that on Saturday, November 1, 2025, Ron Dailey, a Central Valley hunter who became lost in the Sierra National Forest, was located after 20 days of hiking in the wild.

After his car broke down and he attempted to walk out, Dailey of Selma, California, who had planned to go hunting for a day, wound up stranded for 20 days in the Sierra National Forest.

The fact that Ron's case attracted the interest of his community was a fantastic story. “I can’t hardly walk anymore, Lord, you gotta help me Father God,” Dailey said. “I raised my head up, there was a car with headlights on and I go ‘Oh God, thank you Lord.’”

According to him, he visited the Swamp Lake Trail. He was in unfamiliar land before he realized it. He was reportedly running low on food and medicine when he was discovered.

According to authorities, a party of hunters discovered him on Saturday close to Swamp Lake Trail. As he recovered in a hospital in Clovis, his daughter Breanna videotaped him narrating how he got lost.

Doctors are keeping an eye on Dailey. According to the family, Dailey will be freed on Monday if all goes according to plan.

The hunters who generously gave up their hunting season to assist in finding Ron after his wife frantically requested assistance are thanked.

Once verified, any additional information will be released to the public.
