On Monday, November 10, 2025, through the RaJazz community's Facebook page the passing of Natshawn Charity, a beloved bassist, at the age of 26 was made public.
Natshawn, an adjunct professor at Norfolk State University since 2023, passed away recently; his cause of death is yet unknown. His family has not yet released a statement to the public at the time this post was published.
Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Natshawn was residing in Virginia Beach, Virginia at the time of his passing. He attended Norfolk State University to pursue a master's degree in music theory/composition and music media production.
His love of music and his quest for greatness permeated every day he lived on this planet, and he was a devoted presence in the lives of everyone he came into contact with. Many people adored him.
