Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) tried to pull over a car for a traffic infraction on the northbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway close to Keller Springs Boulevard on November 5, 2025, at 10:33 p.m.
DPS Troopers pursued the driver after he refused to stop. Nevertheless, the pursuit ended when DPS Troopers lost sight of the car.
The vehicle was eventually recovered abandoned and had been involved in a crash in the southbound lanes of Dallas Parkway near Warren Parkway.
The driver, 24-year-old Marshawn Kneeland Plano, was discovered dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after DPS Aircraft and Troopers and the Frisco Police Department checked the surrounding area.
A police call tape linked to Marshawn Kneeland's murder was verified by TMZ Sports. It shows that the Dallas Cowboys star bid his family farewell during an apparent mental breakdown.
