Dallas Cowboys End Marshawn Kneeland Died After Car Acciden

 


The Texas Department of Public Safety reports that on Wednesday night, November 5, 2025, after a police pursuit, Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland was discovered dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.


 


The Dallas Cowboys announced his passing in a statement early on Thursday, November 6. He was twenty-four.


"Cowboys’ statement: “It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning. Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend Catalina and his family.”


After being selected by the Cowboys in the 2024 NFL Draft from Western Michigan University, Kneeland was in his second season. Everyone who had seen him play adored him.


Kneeland was found dead after a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to sources.


 


On November 5, 2025, at 10:33 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers attempted to pull over a vehicle for a moving violation in the northbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway near Keller Springs Boulevard.


When the driver, identified as Marshawn, refused to stop, DPS Troopers pursued him. However, as DPS Troopers lost sight of him, the pursuit came to an end.


After being involved in a collision in the southbound lanes of Dallas Parkway close to Warren Parkway, the car was eventually found abandoned. He was found dead near the crash site with a self-inflicted gunshot wound after many checks.
