The Steinman family is still in shock after their son, a brother and friend to many, died in a car accident at Rt. 196/By-Pass Dr. in Topsham on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at around 10:38 p.m.
The victim who died in the fatal collision has been identified as Marcus Steinman, a resident of Topsham, age 23.
The Topsham Police Department verified his name as one of the victims.
Joseph Lemont, 34, of Bowdoin, Maine, is the driver of the 2020 GMC pickup truck that was involved.
Lacey Wiles, a 25-year-old resident of Hermon, Maine, is the driver of the 2019 Volvo SUV.
Officials said Marcus, a passenger in the 2019 Volvo, passed away from his injuries in the collision after first responders tried everything to rescue him.
Lacey Wiles and Joseph Lemont, the drivers, are still receiving treatment at Maine Medical Center for their injuries sustained in the collision.
Regarding their health, there have been no new developments.
The investigation into this unfortunate incident is still ongoing, and the Topsham Police Department are asking anyone with more information to get in touch with Officer Lucas Shirland and the Topsham Police Department at (207) 725-4337.
