On Sunday, October 5, Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, issued a missing person alert. Berkeley Heights Police are looking for the public's help in finding Thomas "TJ" Mauch, a white man from Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, who is 34 years old and a husband and father.
On Friday, October 3, 2025, at around 4:45 a.m., he was last saw near Glenside Road, dressed in black trousers, hiking shoes, a grey zip-up fleece, and a cap.
He inexplicably vanished early on Friday morning, October 3, and his family is frantically asking the public for help in finding him.
In order to help Berkeley Heights Police in their search for Thomas, members of the New Jersey Rescue and Recovery K9 team, as well as units from the Search and Rescue Council of New Jersey and other nearby units and agencies, deployed on Saturday, October 4.
Search operations ended at 1600 hours after two Area Search K9s, one Trailing K9, and two Ground Searchers arrived on the scene at 0700.
Responders from all throughout the state demonstrated remarkable professionalism, interagency coordination, and turnout.
The whereabouts of Thomas Mauch are still being investigated.
