Cal State Fullerton women’s soccer player Lauren Turner has died

 


A Cal State Fullerton women’s soccer player who had a collision with a delivery truck near campus with her buddy while riding on an e-scooter has passed away from her injuries after a month and a half in an ICU.


 


Lauren Turner and her teammate Ashlyn Gwynn were named as the victims of the terrible accident that occurred on Saturday, September 27, 2025.


According to family members, Lauren Turner died on Friday, November 7, 2025, following nearly six weeks in the ICU.


Friends, family, and the Cal State Fullerton community were devastated by the news because everyone was hoping she would survive.


19 years of age Young American women's soccer player Lauren Turner has a bright future ahead of her. She played defensive midfield for the Titans as a sophomore from Tustin.


 


Her commitment, fortitude, and heart made her the epitome of the Titan spirit. She will be sorely missed.


On Wednesday, November 12 at 5:30 p.m., the women's soccer team and Cal State Fullerton Athletics will hold a candlelight vigil in Lauren's honor on the field at Titan Stadium.
