A 15-year-old from Florida is accused of killing a classmate. Jacori Redding has been recognized as the cause of the Minor Hallway Clash. The classmate was shot in the head, according to the police.
Pinien Dalmacy, 16, had a gunshot wound to the upper left side of his head when Orange County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived at the site of the incident. He was taken to the hospital by first responders, where medical professionals declared him dead.
The event happened on October 9 at Vogt-Meloon Park, next to Oak Ridge High School, at around 2:45 p.m. According to deputies, witness claims were verified by a video that showed the shooting.
Jacori said he had the purported weapon in his backpack and was defending himself.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, Jacori was charged with second-degree murder after shooting and taking the life of 16-year-old classmate Pinien Dalmacy after unintentionally running into him and refusing to apologize.
Redding is being held at the Orange County Jail without bail on allegations of murder, illegal firearm possession, and possession of a weapon on school property. His next court date is set for this Wednesday.
