Friends and family were shocked to learn that Pete had committed himself on the evening of Tuesday, October 28, 2025, as no one had predicted such a thing.
His wife and three children, with whom he had a close relationship, survive him.
As a School Resource Officer, Officer Zajac, who was well-known for his professionalism and compassion, had a beneficial influence on the lives of numerous students and was regarded as an inspiration by both teachers and other officers.
