Founder and Coach of Roufusport Duke Roufus Has Died At 55

 


Duke Roufus, the four-time kickboxing world champion and founder/coach of Roufusport, died at the age of 55. He was born in 1970 and died on Thursday, October 16, 2025.


 


Duke spent the majority of his early years in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he was born. According to reports, Duke passed away peacefully in his sleep. Since no additional information was provided, it is determined that his death was natural.


The news of Duke's death has gone viral online, leaving people stunned. Duke Roufus is from a well-known karate family. Pat, his father, was an exceptional coach, official, and competitor. Rick, his brother, was a fantastic kickboxer and one of the greatest fighters in junior tournaments ever.


Duke had a fantastic career as a mma coach and business owner after excelling as a kickboxer and tournament contender.


 


In addition to being a well-known trainer and kickboxing champion, he was also a friend, father, innovator, and mentor whose impact changed the mixed martial arts scene.


His expertise, charm, and enthusiasm motivated innumerable combatants to achieve feats they never thought were possible. Everyone who came into contact with him, from world champions to first-day students, sensed his sincere concern and unfailing faith in their abilities.


The Roufusport MMA Academy will carry on thanks to Duke's unwavering dedication to quality and philosophy. The fighters, coaches, and students who proudly carry his torch will continue to uphold the culture he established, which is based on respect, hard effort, and family.


His passing creates an indelible hole in both the sport and the hearts of everyone who knew him.
