At a Battery Creek High School reunion on October 12, 2025, shortly before 1:00 a.m., Roddy, Ashantek Danielle, and Amos Gary were among the victims of the shooting at a packed alumni celebration at Willie's Bar & Grill, which is situated at 7 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive on St. Helena Island.
Two victims were discovered on the ground close to the restaurant's front, one by a tree on the property, and one on the bar's front steps. Three more corpses were discovered outside.
There was a "little girl" who looked to be a teenager among the victims.
Numerous others were critically injured, including at least 20 people. While some people sought assistance on their own, emergency personnel responded quickly.
Four persons, including a security officer, were confirmed dead at the site by authorities.
Some have called the shooting one of the bloodiest in recent memory in Beaufort County.
Spokesman for the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office said that people of interest have been found, but they did not confirm if any arrests had been made.
Investigators are attempting to determine the cause of the violence. Details will be released to the public after they are verified.
