Authorities in Santa Barbara are conducting a desperate search for Melodee Buzzard, a 9-year-old girl from Vandenberg Village, California, who has reportedly been missing for at least a year.
Because there was insufficient information, no precise date was provided for when she vanished.
Ashlee, Melodee Buzzard's mother, has been contacted by authorities, but she has not disclosed any information regarding her daughter's whereabouts.
When Melodee's prolonged absence from school was reported to authorities by a school official on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the public was informed.
Melodee was not there when deputies went to her mother's house in the 500 block of Mars Avenue, and her whereabouts were not explained.
