Anca was 66-years-old.
Around 1:27 p.m., Buzz Aldrin posted the news on their Facebook site, allowing the world to verify that it was accurate.
“I am so fortunate to have found and married the love of my life,” said General Aldrin. “She brought joy to everything we did together. I will miss her dearly.”
Before this tragic conclusion, Buzz Aldrin and Anca Faur had just been married for two years.
She was an outstanding chemical engineer who earned a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. She was the Executive Vice President of Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC and the treasurer of the California Hydrogen Business Council.
Dr. Aldrin was a very inspirational person, and her commitment to science and exploration will always be remembered.
Her contributions to the hydrogen business and her work in chemical engineering are evidence of her intelligence and enthusiasm.
Anca was always so considerate, kind, and encouraging to Buzz, and she loved him with a passion and dedication that no one had ever witnessed. He and everyone who had the chance to spend time with her will miss her terribly.
In their time of grief, her family asks for privacy.
Once verified, more information will be released to the public.
