On Friday, October 3, 2025, it was announced that 40-year-old Colin Mills, the missing man from Kaysville, Utah, had been located, although not in the way his family had anticipated.
The Facebook site that was established as part of the search for him was the first to share the news. and later verified on October 3 by the Kaysville Police Department.
A body was found close to the Shoreline Trail in the Adams Canyon area on October 2 at around 8:00 p.m., prompting the response of deputies from the Davis County Sheriff's Office and officers from the Kaysville Police Department.
The Medical Examiner's Officer later verified that the body discovered was Colin's through additional identification based on descriptions of the clothing.
The inquiry is currently being handled by the Davis County Sheriff's Office.
The unfathomable loss of a loved one has left his family and friends devastated at this time. They are appreciative of everyone's love, time, and effort in helping them find him.
In ways they will never forget, Colin and their family received support from friends, neighbors, and even complete strangers.
